MEET EMILY

Emily Thorner is known as the Ultrasoprano for her four-octave vocal range and one of the highest voices in the world. Her cinematic voice spans film music, musical theatre, modern opera, and commercial music.

She recently completed a 70 show international arena tour as a featured soloist in the Hans Zimmer and The Lord of the Rings live orchestral concert productions across France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States, and Canada. Performing repertoire including “The Ecstasy of Gold” by Ennio Morricone, she appeared on major stages such as Arena Genève and Centennial Hall for audiences of up to nearly 10,000.

Alongside her live performance work, she has recorded cinematic vocal repertoire with Vox Futura and appears regularly as a featured soloist in orchestral film-music concert productions. With her extended range and blend flexibility, her voice is particularly suited to large-scale soundtrack and symphonic crossover repertoire.

Emily is passionate about themes of global connection, climate awareness, and cultural transformation and healing through sound. Her performance at the Climate Change Forum during COP28 earned recognition among international leaders for its message of harmony and unity. She also will premiere the role of Greta Thunberg for a new opera at Grimeborn Opera Festival this July 2026.

Her rare vocal versatility has brought her to leading international stages as a featured soloist including Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, OPERA America, and the Gaudeamus Festival. 

Through her TEDx talk The Power of the Voice and her experiential performance tour STATE OF BEING, Emily explores the human voice as an instrument of presence, expression, and transformation.

By merging artistry with the transformative power of the voice, she is redefining the boundaries of music and healing.
